Getting Involved

There are a number of ways organisations and individuals can participate and contribute to the development of AGIC’s rating scheme. Getting involved can be as simple as:

• becoming a member of AGIC (click here for Membership Form)
• sponsoring an AGIC development package (more)
• joining a working group and help develop the strategic and technical aspects of the scheme (contact us)
• nominating your projects for trialling the pilot versions of the AGIC scheme (contact us)
• registering interest in participating in tool development or nominating for roles of Chief Executive Officer or Tool Development Project Manager (contact us)
• promoting AGIC to your clients, colleagues, networks and peers
• provide information on similar schemes, tools and experiences (contact us)

Membership

There are a number of reasons why organisations should join AGIC

• receive discounts on project applications fees, technical manuals, training courses
• reference to AGIC membership (or Foundation Membership) can assist demonstrating your commitments to sustainability and ability to deliver sustainable solutions in tenders, corporate reports, and other internal and external communications and marketing
• Nominating representatives to the Board and working groups to input and influence scheme development priorities and tool benchmarks
• enable suitably qualified employees the option of becoming AGIC verifiers
• be kept informed of sustainability developments as they relate to infrastructure and the AGIC scheme
• have access to early versions of the rating tool during pilot trials

Sponsorship

Sponsorships are requested from organizations who wish to make significant contributions to the development and continuing success of AGIC’s rating scheme.  Packages currently available include:

• Tool Development Project Manager Package ($100,000)
• Category Development Packages ($30,000 each to be confirmed)
• Website sponsorship Package ($25,000)
• February Reception Sponsorship Package ($6,000)
• June Launch Sponsorship Package ($20,000)

Organisations wishing to become Foundation Members can off-set some of their fees by adopting a package as in-kind contribution.  Negotiations of benefits to organizations adopting sponsorship packages over $15,000 will be negotiated with Interim Steering Group.  Contact AGIC for further information. insert link to contact info

Foundation Membership is only available in 2008

Foundation Membership is intended to acknowledge organisations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the establishment of AGIC and the development of AGIC’s rating and award scheme.

Initial AGIC Foundation Members will also have the opportunity to nominate members to the Board and so be able to influence AGIC strategies and scheme development, receive preference for projects nominated for trialling pilot versions of the scheme, in addition to the benefits received by general members and described above.

A one-off contribution can be provided as either in-kind support or as a direct cash contribution (for organisations only).  For additional details, refer to the membership form or contact AGIC.

General Membership

General Membership is intended to acknowledge organisations, associations and individuals who wish to contribute to the ongoing progress and achievements of AGIC.  All AGIC members will be entitled to nominate representatives to the AGIC Board.

AGIC members will also have the option to use AGIC’s member logo for marketing purposes.
